Two videos that were up on Zlog, both filmed by Matt Montoya. The first one is a bunch of Wheeltalk outtakes from last year. Definitely worth the watch.

And this is last month’s iMinusD edit featuring Kenny Arimoto, Alex Blanco, Devon Lawson, Ed Wonka and matt montoya.

All of us went through our old clips and tried to put together a sort of timeline for the past year. it probably has alot more meaning to me then it will to the average person but I think you will get it. Anyways, Im really thankful to have some cool dudes to ride with here in Seattle, and im gonna ride as much as I can in 2012, because we all know its our last year here on earth.”

FORWARD: VRZ1

Wednesday, January 4 2012 at 2:08 pm by:

VRZ 1. is a track bike frame with 3d printed stainless steel lugs glued together with carbon fiber tubes.

This method allows to build custom frames in a short period of time.
You could change the geometry to what ever you like, then the lugs gets generated by a software.
Now we just need to print the parts finish them and glue the frame together.

The fork is 480 g and the frame weight is 1100 g (for stainless-Carbon Frame)! if we print the lugs in titanium, it will get even lighter.
The printed lugs could also be used with steel or titan tubes!

SE BIKES: SHOWTIME

Saw this over on Prolly: The SE fixed team has been testing the 26″ Showtime fixed gear frame for a solid four months now. The riders have hammered out all the kinks & put it through some heavy abuse. The Showtime is fully heat treated post weld and has been able to withstand any sort of punishment DJ Mull, Josh Boothby, and Gus Molina have put it through since they first received their prototypes. Josh and DJ’s bikes fully built up have weighed in at 23lbs & 24lbs, while for tire clearance in the rear Gus has been running a 2.25 comfortably. With chain stays at only 14.55″ slammed, complimented by 14mm drop outs, the frame stays compact while accepting 14mm hubs.

The more aggressive geometry has really shined through, allowing for the bike to feel more responsive and allow the team to push their riding even further as seen with Josh Boothby pulling backflips on command at Woodward West. Check out the SE @ Woodward West clip for proof: (http://vimeo.com/33888373)

Available in black in one size, you can look for the frame to be available in late February 2012. Full specs after the click!

I’ve seen this bike displayed on the Orlowski site some weeks ago. A full shoot of this bike (or similar bike) can be found here. Has the looks of the Cinelli Laser so looking forward what O’Pignon will show us next!

LUCAS BRUNELLE

Alright, this is the last post I’m taking off Tracko for today, there’s just too much good stuff to not repost. Like this interview with Lucas Brunelle, his full lengh video should be out soon. (If you haven’t seen the trailer for Line Of Sight, check it out; here).

You grew up in an affluent Cape Cod beach town. How did you become the poster boy for gonzo riding?

I wanted an alternative to the homogenized way that people did things there, so I played hooky on my BMX bike. One of my first cars was a classic police cruiser. My friends and I used to bomb down the highway with the blue lights blaring. Sometimes we’d break into Walter Cronkite’s bowling alley. I got my Cat 2 license when I was 16 and won dozens of races. In college I worked as a messenger and became obsessed with riding in traffic. You can’t replicate the mobility of a bike, not even on a motorcycle or in a helicopter.

Your new movie, Lucas Brunelle: Line of Sight, offers up hair-raising footage from Beijing, Boston, Dublin, New York, and Tokyo. What’s the craziest stunt you’ve pulled?

In Miami, we rode on I-95 for 2 miles, and crossed three lanes of traffic. The cars were coming behind us at 60 or 70 miles an hour. When you’re riding like that, the endorphins create this heightened sense of awareness. You notice a car veering in a distant lane or someone braking on an overpass.

RUN! DANGER! RUN!

Thursday, December 22 2011 at 8:33 pm by:

Another post from Ritte Racing found through Tracko. You gotta love photoshop.

The Cyclocross scene here in Southern California doesn’t have the mud, cold and misery that racers in other parts of the country enjoy. So SoCalCross promoter Dorthy Wong had an idea that would make December’s UCI weekend in Downtown LA just as miserable as the sub zero conditions they have in Wisconsin. Alan “Danger” Zinniker (author ofthehandup.com) secured victory in the single speed race after the rhino slowed to gore the rider in 2nd.

Can’t wait to see what Dorthy has in mind for next weekend.
