“ILOVEBICYCLES project is an inside view of creative individuals’ relationships with their bicycles—how they commute to work, what places they like to ride around, group rides and a lot more. ILB’s ongoing challenge is to portray these relationships in an interesting way, from our distinct point of view. Every month we’ll bring a different story, so follow us for updates.”

Pim’s Stolen Bike
Last weekend Pim’s bike got stolen. It was a MM Singlespeed built up as a fixed. Although there are a few riding around on these in Amsterdam, please be on the lookout for the bike. Thanks for all your help.

PEDAL (PISTON) POWER

Awesome picture of Jack Lindquist’s Pistons. I never met him, but Budge mentioned him recently on his short visit to Amsterdam, so it was cool to find a picture of his crazy tattoos. I think his girlfriend does Moth Attack bicycles, although I might be mistaken about that. Either way, her frames are well worth checking out. Beautiful frames, hand build in L.A. We unfortunately didn’t find the time to drop by last time we were there, but hopefully better luck next time.

PARIS VISION
Shot in early 2009 for the Bicycle Film Festival, Paris Vision is a promenade in Paris without freewheel and brakes.
After being displayed all around the world during the BFF, The movie is now online.
Shot just after the explosion of the fixed gear community in Paris, Paris-Vision is now a sort of archive of 2009.
Thanks again to Pierre, Hugo, Rodolphe, Romain, Nordine, Guthrie et Cédric for their participation.

SKULL ‘N BONES
Gage + DeSoto have a new tee design out with NYC-local Dead Flowers. Here’s a little background on this bad-ass graphic:
“We paired up with fellow NYC brand Dead Flowers for a truly original collaboration. DF typically works their skull motif into vintage rock and roll artwork to create iconic mashup images. So we presented them with a classic TdF moment – Jacques Anquetil and Raymond Poulidor battling elbow to elbow up the Puy de Dôme on July 12, 1964.”

TOKYO FIXED GEAR X NITTO
Tokyo Fixed Gear is never sitting still, they’ve been working with Nitto on some handlebars and stems that look completely sick. I’m especially fond of this Craft Stem, but their handlebars look dope as well. Also make sure to check out Sam’s video of his visit to the Nitto factory.
Last year we met with Nitto to discuss collaberating on a series of handle bars. On Nitto president, Mr Yoshikawa’s table we saw the Craft stem’s headbadge. Sitting there alone as an ornament with no stem. I asked if it had ever been used on a stem. His answer was that they had done similar stems up to the 1970′s but had always wanted to bring it back. My obvious reaction was well lets make one now. And thats what Nitto did.
The Nitto Craft is the ultimate statement of Nitto’s art. No other company can mass produce a fillet brazed stem like at this kind of quality. And for at least 20 years I don’t think anyone has. I expect this stem will find its way onto some very nice builds, road or track.
Check out more on their handlebars after the click!
MELLOW SESSION
Our friends Jasper and Roy run a cool new blog called We Are Orange Juice, they focus mainly at BMX stuff, like this awesome little video of Roy. Just two tricks, but that wallride is pretty crazy. Definitely keep an eye out for their blog, regular high quality blog posts about bikes, music and lifestyle articles. Keep up the good work guys!
