Stoked to hear that Matt Spencer is riding for Volume now! Since his buddy Congo left Volume for LDG I’ve been wondering who they we’re gonna add in their team to represent the 700team! And they did a good job adding Matt to the team! Matt has always been one of my favorite riders! Can’t wait to see some new edit of Matt trashing his Volume V2!

Our good friend Marco also ordered a V2, so I’m stoked to see it in real life soon! The V2 isn’t in the webstore yet, but we can definitely order them! So if you’re looking for a top of the line FGFS frame, Volume Trasher is the way to go! Same goes for all of the Resist parts you see on Matts bike. Hubs, seat, bars.. The whole nine yards! Resist Parts for your FGFS bike!

It’s been a while since we heard stuff going on in the Rotterdam Fixed Gear Scene. There wasn’t really anyone picking up the the burning flame which Roy used to carry with Rotterdam Fixed Gear. Since he stopped with his website it’s been quiet from this area in Holland. But now there is change coming and a Facebook Page is up and running to unite the fixed riders of Rotterdam. There isn’t a website yet but I got word that if there is need for one there will be one. So if you want to get hooked up with the cool riders like Jorrit, Saskia, John, Mathieu, Göran, Jay Jay and many others get yourself to the Fixed Gear Rotterdam page on Facebook!
Fixed Gear Rotterdam is a Go! I say: LIKE!
My boys from the WeAreOrangeJuice brought out these very nice shirts and beanies, so that you can wear them and support their blog. If you haven’t looked it up already, you definitely should! Awesome BMX vids, nice random visuals and even some fixed stuff. The boys are awesome to hang with and ride as well. We’re busy with a collab between the Pristine and WAOJ, so you better watch out for that! In the meanwhile, check out my boy, Roy van Kempen shredding in Everland wearing his awesome shirt and beanie. I’ve got mine already.. Do you?

The way summer has been here lately… it’s sure sign that Fall is coming quicker than ever.
What a perfect time to invest in some Full Finger Gloves by Cadence.
Through: Pedal Consumption
Patrick from the outstanding blog Pedal Consumption (together with Prolly probably responsible for roughly 50% of our blog content, ha) teamed up with Leader to make his very own track frame. Alumium frame, carbon fork, slightly sloping toptube for that pursuit geometry that always looks awesome. This is gonna make for one nice modern build. We’ll have 4 framesets in stock (out of the 64 that will be available in Europe) so needless to say this thing is very limited and hard to get your hands on. Email us with any questions. First come, first serve. More pictures, after the click.
Talking about cycling heroes and crashes, Jens Voigt (most known for his winged expression ‘Shut Up Legs‘) who crashed badly during the 2009 TdF, is also called the Chuck Norris of Cycling. They’ve dedicated a site to him with quotes about the man.
“Jens Voigt doesn’t age, he simply drops every year that catches up to him”.
Check it out here: www.jensvoigtfacts.com (keep clicking his picture for a new quote).
So, the Tour De France is in full effect, more crashes and excitement than ever. Johnny Hoogerland survived, barely. And in the midst of this media spectacle we have our own Mart Smeets reporting the TDF for all of us in Holland. So one of my friends started a blog about Mart. And more importantly, about what amazing fashion creations he comes up with every night. So if you’re one of the few lucky bastards that can read dutch, make sure to check out this funny blog. It’s completely ridiculous, and equally amazing.
Enjoy the tour everyone!
