This bag has been in the back of mind ever since I saw it on the MASH SF webstore. Its a bit pricy at $360 but if you ride as much as I do and always have camera equipment on you then this is the ultimate roll top bag for you. It has pockets specifically designed to hold a camera and two SLR lenses. If I could ask santa for anything this Christmas it would be for a sick camera and this bag ! Go to the MASH SF website to see all the details on how to purchase yours for this holiday season.

THE BEST USE OF A CHURCH

Wednesday, December 7 2011 at 12:17 pm by:

The boys at Orange Juice had these pictures up by Aaron Zwaal who was at the opening of a new skatepark in Arnhem, build inside an old church that needed a new destination. In my opinion making it into a skatepark is the best use for a church ever, finally some joy inside those walls!

Hell! Yess!

PORTRAITS FROM THE LAST F.T.Y.C. RACE

Thursday, September 22 2011 at 7:21 pm by:

Martijn Image Hunters came to the last Faster Than You Crew race last saturday where we finished at Wijk aan Zee (in the middle of a torrential downpour/summerstorm). Martijn took these black and white portraits right after everyone came in after their 60+ km race. There were a ridiculous amount of flat tires and unfortunately a few crashes but one by one (almost) everyone came in. Some hitch-hiking, some on bikes that were not their own (thanx to loyal friends) and some running. It was pretty epic, enough stories to go around.

This picture of Ruben was one of my favorite ones of the series, he’s also the one that finished first for the final race (congrats!) check out the rest of them out after the click!

Thanx Martijn for the rad pictures!

RESIST BEST TRICK PHOTO CONTEST ON FACEBOOK

Friday, August 26 2011 at 10:38 am by:

Although it’s for US residents only, it’s always nice to see some nice trick pics! Grab your cam and send the pics in anyway. Just get them to sponsor the rest of the world as well and not the US only.

We’ve been meaning to do a contest for you guys on our Facebook page for awhile now and finally came up with a cool one.  Best trick/ picture wins a free Congoloid bar and a set of Nomad tires.  Click HERE to view above pic bigger. Check after the jump for the rules.

CONTEST: Best picture of their best trick wins the contest.  We take picture quality (has to be a quality image) and style (doesn’t have to be an insane trick) into consideration.  Could be just an awesome pic of you doing a wheelie in front of a building or whatever.  The actual picture quality could really  help you win this contest.
We’ll be judging/ commenting on the pics via the Resist Parts Facebook page.  Contest will be done and over with by Sept. 1st

RULES: Contest is only for Continental US Residents only.
All pictures will be asked to be submitted on the RESIST PARTS FACEBOOK page only.

VOSGES PARIS: INDUSTRIAL LOFT LIFE IN THE CITY

Saturday, August 20 2011 at 4:09 pm by:

We just got featured on one of Holland’s leading interior design blogs; Vosges Paris. I’m glad she sees bikes as pieces of art and loves it when her daughter brings her bike into her apartment. Thanx for the write up Desiree!

“Maybe this place attracts me because I am a pretty laid back person myself. I do not fuss to much about things. And to be honest I love a bit of chaos and mess when I am working on a project at home. The other day I was talking with my daughter about how people live in their homes. And she told me how she loved the fact that they could always bring their bikes in.”

As a matter of fact I love it when they bring in their pretty fixed-gear bikes and park them against the concrete walls….. It’s like they bring in a new piece of art each time. Bikes with ever changing wheels and colored frames. One time sparkling and pink. Or like the one on the picture, being my favorite, black, with a saddle and handles with velvet leopard print. And an integrated handlebar and basket by Copenhagen Design…..It’s a bit like living the Industrial loft life at 80 square meters.”

PRESTO CIRCA 1900

Saturday, August 20 2011 at 12:35 pm by:

We’ve always been huge fans of old Amsterdam frame builders and brands like RIH (Wim van der Kaaij still builds frames in his shop on Westerstraat) and Presto (who still have a couple of shops, but unfortunately don’t have any framebuilders working for them anymore).

Sammy has a beautiful old Presto trackbike build by Peter Serier with a drilled out rear bridge and dropouts, triple X embossed chainstays and the classic Presto headbadge. And I am restoring a Jan LeGrand track frame build with Reynolds 753 tubing.. we’ll be bringing both those bikes to the next Stalen Ros in Belgium (16 Oktober in Ghent).

So needless to say that we were stoked to find out that the Amsterdams ‘Stadsarchief’ has a huge collection of old pictures from Presto’s archives.

Check them out here: Beeldbank

More info about Presto after the click (in Dutch) through: Klassieke Racefiets
